RNeighbors Fall Tree Planting

RNeihbors fall tree planting is just aound the corner! Historically we have had many student volunteers who understand how important a healthy tree canopy is to our air and water quality in Rochester. I am sure many of you have also talked about the impact of trees on insulating homes and apartments in summer and winter. Information on the location and time for the planting is below. The more volunteers the faster those trees will get into the ground.

Planting Details

  • When: Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 9 am

  • Where: Meet at Northgate Park (2107 24 St. NW)

  • Web Page: Details on our (New! Still in the works.) website. https://www.rneighbors.org/blog-uploads/2025-fall-community-tree-planting

FALL SPORTS EXPECTATIONS

With the fall sports season in full swing at our secondary schools, we want to communicate some expectations of those who plan to attend to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

  • Tickets must be purchased in advance using the Go Fan app.

  • All elementary and middle school students who plan to attend must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver who must remain with their student for the entirety of the games.

  • If students are found with prohibited items, they will be asked to leave, and disciplinary action may be taken.

  • Students may not bring backpacks or other large bags into the games.

  • All students must present their student ID to be admitted.

  • Fans will not be allowed onto the field after the game. Students and fans must vacate the premises immediately.

  • There will be no supervision extended beyond the game.

Each high school may send additional information regarding its procedures during games.

Thank you, and we look forward to a great sports season!

Sincerely,

Rochester Public Schools

John Adams Community Room Donations

As the cold weather approaches, many students in our JA community need warm winter clothing to stay comfortable and healthy. We are organizing a winter clothing drive to collect new and (clean/ready to wear) gently used winter gear for children and families in need.

Your generous donations will make a significant difference, ensuring every child has the proper attire for the colder months.

We are collecting the following items :

  • Winter coats

  • Snow pants

  • Winter hats

  • Gloves and mittens

  • Winter boots

How to donate:

  •  Please drop off your clean, ready-to-wear items to the JA Main Office

Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Dahl or Ms. Hora at ladahl@rochesterschools.org ; mihora@rochesterschools.org

We are also collecting clean, gently used bath and beach towels for students to use during their PE swim unit.

Thank you for your support!
